Menjadi program studi unggulan dalam bidang Teknik Perminyakan yang berorientasi pada pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di bidang teknik reservoir, teknik produksi, teknik pengeboran dan manajemen migas demi menyiapkan profesional yang mampu bersaing secara global.
Tujuan Pendidikan Program Studi Teknik Perminyakan adalah:
1) lulusan mampu berperan sebagai profesianl di industri di bidang energi atau bidang terkait lainnya, pemerintahan, atau menjadi wirausahawan;
2) Lulusan mampu menunjukkan kemampuan memimpin dan bekerjasama dengan menjunjung tinggi integritas dan etika profesi;
3) Lulusan mampu mengembangkan diri melalui jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi atau organisasi profesi, serta memiliki hasrat untuk belajar sepanjang hayat
