Biografi

Eka Puspitawati, PhD is an economist who is trained as trade, industry, and investment analyst, and general equilibrium modeler. She received her PhD from the University of Adelaide Australia, Magister Science and Bachelor Degree form IPB University. Her current areas of research are the economics of international trade, industry, supply chains, and agricultural/renewable energy. She counts over 20 years’ experience as lecturer and researcher in economics, and now she is a senior lecturer at Economics Department, Pertamina University, Jakarta. She is also a research associate at Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF). She demonstrates advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis using GEMPACK, GTAP, Input-Output Table, E-Views, SEM-Lisrel, STATA, Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), and SpiceLogic Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). She has produced articles, books, and scopus journals. She resulted a book of Springer Publisher titled the Electronics Industry in Indonesia. She has been invited as speakers at various national and international discussions. In addition, she has led several major research projects in topics of Natural Gas Prices (HGBT) at national and automotive component industry levels, biodiesel industry and trade, and national strategic investment downstream. She also involved in studies of green economic, diplomatic intelligence for oil and gas company, carbon measurement and reporting and calculation, and structural transformation in key partner countries of the Belt and Road Initiative. The research were collaboration with Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Investment/BKPM, Ministry of Trade, SKK Migas, PT Pertamina, Pertamina Foundation, Multimedia University Malaysia, GIZ, and UNCTAD.

Profil Peneliti

  1. Eka is an economist who is trained as industry, trade, and investment analyst, and computable general equilibrium modeller. She has received her PhD from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2013. Her current areas of research are the economics of industry, international trade, and agricultural/renewable energy in developing countries. She counts over 15 years’ experience as lecturers in economics, and now she is a senior lecturer at Economics Department, Pertamina University, Jakarta. She is also a research associate in industry, trade, and investment at Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF). She has produced articles, books, and journals related industry, trade, and agricultural economic fields. She resulted a book of Springer Publisher titled The Electronics Industry in Indonesia, a book chapter of ASEAN and regional free trade agreements. She has been invited as speakers at various national and international discussions on some issues i.e sugar, pulp and paper, CPO industries, ASEAN amidst rising trade protectionism, and RCEP. She had collaborted with some international institution for research such as UNCTAD, ACIAR, ERIA, and GIZ.
