Universitas Pertamina is pleased to announce the generous academic donation of software licenses from PE Limited (Petroleum Experts Ltd.), with a total value equivalent to £4,961,606.13. The donation includes academic licenses for the Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) Suite, providing students and faculty with access to industry-leading software for petroleum engineering education and research.
This contribution reflects PE Limited’s continued commitment to supporting higher education institutions by equipping future engineers with advanced technologies widely used in the global energy industry. Through this donation, Universitas Pertamina will further strengthen its teaching, research, and practical training in reservoir engineering, production engineering, integrated asset modelling, and energy systems.
The IPM Suite will be integrated into undergraduate and postgraduate courses, laboratory sessions, student projects, and research activities. Access to professional software will enable students to develop practical skills in production system analysis, well performance evaluation, nodal analysis, and integrated reservoir-to-surface modelling, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practice.
The donation also supports Universitas Pertamina’s commitment to enhancing research capabilities and fostering innovation in the energy sector. Faculty members and researchers will be able to utilize the software in research related to reservoir management, production optimization, carbon capture and storage (CCS/CCUS), geothermal energy, and other sustainable energy applications.
Universitas Pertamina extends its sincere appreciation to PE Limited for its generous support and confidence in the University’s mission to develop highly competent professionals for the energy industry. This collaboration represents an important step toward strengthening academic excellence, promoting industry–academia partnerships, and preparing graduates to address the challenges of the evolving global energy landscape.
