Developing Collaborative Research, Pertamina University Establishes Collaboration With Sriwijaya University

Palembang – In order to develop higher education institutions to create excellent human resources, Pertamina University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sriwijaya University. The MoU is signed by The Rector of Pertamina University, Prof. Akhmaloka, Ph. D., and The Rector of Sriwijaya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Anis Saggaf, MSCE which taking place at the Sriwijaya University Rector’s Office House in Palembang on Friday, 11th of October 2019.

The primary motive behind this is the strengths and limitations that each university has. Hence both universities decided to collaborate in the fields of education, research, and community service. These are focused on developing human resource competencies, expert assistance, university development, exchanging students, lecturers, and employees, workshops, training, seminars, exhibitions, and more other scientific activities, also the utility of facilities that both universities own. By this collaboration, we hope the two parties can work more optimal at implementing Tridharma of University

Prof. Anis expresses his enthusiasm about this MoU, “Pertamina University is our good friend. And Palembang is one of the strategic areas for developing energy due to plenty of energy resources we have here”, he said.

This meeting has been a warm meeting, starting with lunch then continued with some opening speech and the signing of MoU, then ended with a souvenir exchange. Prof. Akhmaloka added, “With this collaboration, Pertamina University and Sriwijaya University will come together in order to advance our nation through collaborative research and help one another to develop higher education to produce superior human resources”.
